ʻOku lava ʻe he sīpinga taʻengata ʻo e temipalé ʻo tokoniʻi kitautolu ke tau ikunaʻi ʻa e ngaahi moveuveu ʻo e ʻahó ní.

ʻI he taimi kotoa pē ʻoku tau ʻalu ai ki he temipalé, ʻoku toe fakamanatu mai ʻe he ngaahi ouaú ʻa e fokotuʻutuʻu totonu ʻo e ʻuniveesí, ʻo kau ai ʻa e fokotuʻutuʻu totonu ki he nofo-malí. Hangē ko e kau kaivai ʻo onoʻahó, ʻoku tau siofia e langí ke fai mei ai ʻetau tūkufuá—pea ʻoku tau fai ia ʻi he temipalé. Ne hiki ʻe he tangata poto Māmonga ko Hiu Nipilī ʻo pehē:

ʻOku langa ʻa e temipalé ke fakafofongaʻi ʻa e ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni ʻi hono fokotuʻutuʻu ʻo e ʻunivēsí. Ko e ʻapiako ia ʻoku ako ai ʻa e tangata fakamatelié ki he ngaahi meʻá ni. …

“… Ko e temipale ʻi māmaní [ʻoku] ʻi he lotolotonga ia ʻo e meʻa kotoa pē, … ʻo takatakai ʻi he ngaahi ngāue fakalangi kotoa pē, ko e haʻi ʻokú ne fakatahaʻi e langí mo māmaní.”1

Ko ia, ʻoku maʻu ai ʻe he temipalé ʻa e mālohi ke tohitongi ʻi hotau lotó e ngaahi fono totonu ʻa e ʻOtuá ki he nofo-malí mo e moʻui fakafāmilí.

Ko e Nofo-mali ʻa ʻĀtama mo ʻIví

ʻOku tau ako ki he akonaki fakatemipale ko ia fekauʻaki mo e malí ʻi he talanoa ʻo ʻĀtama mo ʻIví—ko e talanoa faʻunga ia ʻo e temipalé: Ne fehuʻi mai ʻe hoku kaungāmeʻa, “Kapau ko Kalaisi ko e uho ia ʻo e ongoongoleleí mo e temipalé, ko e hā hono ʻuhinga ʻoku ʻikai akoʻi ai e talanoa ki he moʻui ʻa Kalaisí ʻi he ʻenitaumēniti fakatemipalé? Ko e hā e meʻa ko ʻeni fekauʻaki mo ʻĀtama mo ʻIví?”

Kuó u ongoʻi ko e moʻui ʻa Kalaisí ko e talanoa ia ʻo hono foaki ʻa e Fakaleleí. Ko e talanoa ʻo ʻĀtama mo ʻIví ko e talanoa ia ʻo hono maʻu ʻo e Fakaleleí, neongo e ngaahi fakafepaki mālohi ʻo e moʻui matelié.

Ko ʻĀtama mo ʻIvi ʻa e fuofua kakai ke maʻu ʻa e Fakalelei ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí. Ko kinaua foki ʻa e fuofua ongo mātuʻa ke aʻusia e ʻofa ʻo ka fanauʻi ha pēpē foʻou, ngaahi feilaulau lahi ʻoku fai ʻi hono ohi hake e fānaú, mo e mamahi ʻo e mamata ki he fānaú ʻoku nau ngāueʻaki taʻefakapotopoto ʻenau tauʻatāina ke filí.

ʻOku ʻomai ʻe he tamai ko Līhaí ʻa e talanoa fakatokāteline ke mahino ai ʻa ʻenau aʻusiá—mo kitautolu. ʻOkú ne talamai kapau naʻe ʻikai ke kai ʻa ʻĀtama mo ʻIvi mei he fua ʻo e ʻakau ʻo e ʻiló, kuó na mei “nofo [ai pē] ʻi he ngoue ko ʻĪtení. …

“Pea kuo ʻikai te na maʻu ha fānau; ko ia, te na nofo ai ʻi ha anga-taʻehalaia, ʻo ʻikai maʻu ha fiefia, he naʻe ʻikai te na ʻiloʻi ha mamahi; ʻo ʻikai fai ha lelei, he naʻe ʻikai te na ʻiloʻi ha angahala. …

“Naʻe hinga ʻa ʻĀtamá koeʻuhi ke ʻi ai ʻa e faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá; pea ʻoku ʻi ai ʻa e faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá koeʻuhi ke nau maʻu ʻa e fiefiá” (2 Nīfai 2:22–23, 25).

Meʻapango pē ka ʻoku tokoni ʻa e angahalá, faingatāʻiá, mo e fānaú ke ako ai e ʻuhinga ʻo e fiefiá—ko ha founga ne malava ʻi he Fakalelei ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí.

Ka ne na mavahe mei he ngoué ʻo fepīkitai kiate kinaua pea laka kimuʻa, fakataha, ki he māmani ʻoku tau nofo ai he taimí ní.

Ko e tefitoʻi talanoa ko ia ʻi he temipalé, ko ha talanoa mahino ia ʻo ha ongo meʻa mali ʻokú na fetokoniʻaki ke fehangahangai mo e faingataʻa hokohoko ʻo e matelié. He ko e fepaki pē mo e ngaahi faingataʻá, te na lava ai ʻo ako ke ʻiloʻi ʻa e fiefia moʻoní.

Tuku muʻa ke tau fakakaukau ki ha meʻa ʻe ua fekauʻaki mo ʻetau mahino ki he nofo-malí mei he talanoa ʻo ʻĀtama mo ʻIví ʻUluakí ko e vakai ʻa e Ongoongolelei Kuo Toe Fakafoki Maí ki he lelei ʻo e Hingá.

Ka ʻi he taimi ʻoku fakatou tauʻatāina ai ʻa e ongo meʻa malí, ʻokú na tali leva ʻa e “tukupā taʻehaʻisia,” ko ia ʻo e kuongá ní, pea ʻoku takitaha maʻana leva ʻena nofo malí ʻi he taimi ʻoku ngata ai ʻa e fiefiá—pe ʻi he taimi ʻoku kamata ai ʻa e faingataʻá.

Ko fē ʻoku tonú? ko e fakafalalá pe tauʻatāiná? Hala ha taha ʻe tonu. ʻOku akoʻi ʻe he ongoongolelei kuo toe fakafoki maí—ʻikai hangē ko e toenga ʻo e ngaahi Tui faka-Kalisitiané—naʻe ʻikai ko ha fehālaaki pe tupukoso pē ʻa e fili ko ia ʻa ʻIvi mo ʻĀtama ʻi he ngoué; ka, ko ha konga nāunauʻia mo ʻosi kotofa pē ia ʻo e palani ʻo e fakamoʻuí. Ko ia ʻoku pehē ai ʻe he Ongoongolelei Kuo Toe Fakafoki Maí ko ʻIvi—mo e kakai fefine kotoa pē—ko ha kakai fakaʻeiʻeiki kinautolu ʻoku nau tuʻunga tatau kakato mo e kakai tangatá.

Uá, ʻi he taimi naʻe mavahe ai ʻa ʻIvi mo ʻĀtama mei he ngoué, naʻe fekau ʻe he ʻEikí ke na langa ha ʻesifeilaulau pea ke na feilaulauʻi ha monumanu. Hili ha ngaahi ʻaho lahi ne fehuʻi ʻe ha ʻāngelo kia ʻĀtama pe ko e hā e ʻuhinga ʻokú ne fai ai ʻa e feilaulaú. Naʻá ne tali ʻo pehē, “ʻOku ʻikai te u ʻilo, tuku kehe pē hono fekau ʻe he ʻEikí kiate au.” Pea toki lea ange leva ʻa e ʻāngeló, ʻo pehē: “Ko hono tatau ʻeni ʻo e feilaulau ʻo e ʻAlo pē Taha naʻe Fakatupu ʻo e Tamaí” (Mōsese 5:6–7).

Ko ia, ko e monumanu ko ia naʻe feilaulauʻi ʻe ʻĀtama mo ʻIví ko e fakataipe ʻo e feilaulauʻi he kahaʻú ʻe he Tamaí hono ʻAló. Naʻe akoʻi leva ʻe he ʻāngeló kiate kinaua ʻe hanga ʻe he feilaulau ʻa Kalaisí mo e palani ʻo e huhuʻí ʻo ʻoange kiate kinaua ha ʻuhinga mo e taumuʻa ki he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē te na fehangahangai mo iá—ʻio, ki he kotoa ʻo ʻenau aʻusia fakamatelié.

ʻOku ō hatau niʻihi ki he temipalé ʻi he founga naʻe ʻohake ai ʻe ʻĀtama mo ʻIvi ʻena ngaahi feilaulaú—koeʻuhí pē naʻe fekauʻi kitautolu ki ai, taʻe te tau ʻilo hono ʻuhingá. Ko e talangofuá ʻoku mātuʻaki lelei ange ia ʻi he ʻikai fakahoko ʻa e ngaahi ouaú. Ka ʻoku pau pē ne fie maʻu ʻe he ʻEikí, ʻa ē naʻá Ne fekau mai ʻa e ʻāngeló, ke na ʻilo hono ʻuhingá—pea ʻoku ou tui ʻokú Ne fie maʻu kitautolu ke tau ʻilo hono ʻuhingá.

ʻOku hoko nai ʻa e ngaahi ouau ʻo e temipalé he ʻahó ní ko “ha fakataipe … ʻo e ʻAlo pē Taha naʻe Fakatupú”? Fakakaukau ki he ngaahi ʻōlita ʻo e temipalé, ʻo hangē ko e ʻōlita ʻa ʻĀtama mo ʻIví, ko e ʻōlita ʻo e lotu, feilaulau, mo e ngaahi fuakava. Fakakaukau ki he huʻunga ʻo e ngaahi feilaulaú ʻi he ngaahi fuakava kotoa ʻo e ʻenitaumení.

Talu mei he taimi naʻe fakakakato ai ʻe Kalaisi Hono misiona ʻo e fakaleleí, ʻoku ʻikai ke tau toe fai ai ʻa e feilaulau monumanú, ka ʻoku tau fuakava ke tau feilaulau. ʻO founga fēfē? Naʻe tohi ʻe ʻEletā Sēmisi E. Pea ko e hā hono taumuʻá? Ke na feilaulau ʻi he toenga ʻena moʻuí—ʻa ia, ko e feinga ke moʻui ʻo hangē ko ia naʻá Ne faí—ka na lava ʻo hangē ko Iá.
