Na‘e fili ‘a Sīsū Kalaisi ‘i he mo‘ui ki mu‘a ‘i he māmaní ke Ne hoko ko e Fakamo‘ui, pea na‘a tau fili ke tau tali ‘a e palani ‘o e fakamo‘uí.

“Na‘a tau kau mo mamata kotoa ‘i he ‘uluaki fakataha ‘i he langí ‘i hono fili mo fokotu‘u ‘o e Fakamo‘uí, pea mo hono fokotu‘u ‘o e palani ‘o e fakamo‘uí, pea na‘a tau loto taha ki ai.”5

“Ko e ‘Eikí [ko] ha taula‘eiki ia ‘i he lakanga ‘o Melekisētekí, ‘o lauikuonga, pea ko e ‘Alo ia ‘o e ‘Otuá kuo pani, ki mu‘a ‘i hono ‘ai ‘a e tu‘unga ‘o māmaní [vakai, Saame 110:4].”6

“Ko e fakamo‘ui ‘a Sīsū Kalaisí na‘e fokotu‘utu‘u ia ma‘á e kakai kotoa pē, koe‘uhí ke ikuna‘i ‘a e tēvoló. … ‘E faingata‘a‘ia ‘a e kakai kotoa pē kae ‘oua kuo nau talangofua kia Kalaisi.

“Ko e tau ‘i he langí na‘e tupu ia—he na‘e folofola ‘a Sīsū ‘oku ‘i ai ha ngaahi laumālie ‘e ni‘ihi he ‘ikai ke lava ‘o fakahaofi; pea pehē ‘e he tēvoló te ne fakahaofi kotoa ‘e ia kinautolu, pea fokotu‘u mai leva ‘ene palaní ki he ‘ao ‘o e fakataha lahi ko ‘ení, ka na‘a nau loto kia Sīsū Kalaisi. Ko ia na‘e tu‘u ai ‘a e tēvoló ‘o fakafepaki ki he ‘Otuá, pea kapusi hifo ai ia, fakataha mo kinautolu kotoa na‘a nau poupou kiate iá.”7

Na‘e ma‘u ‘e he Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá ‘a e fakahā ko ‘ení mei he ‘Eikí ‘i Mē ‘o e 1833, ‘o hangē ko hono lekooti ki mui ‘i he Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakava 93:29: “Na‘e ‘i he kamata‘angá foki ‘a e tangatá mo e ‘Otuá. Ko e ‘atamai poto [‘initeliseni], pe ko e maama ‘o e mo‘oní, na‘e ‘ikai ke fakatupu pe ngaohi ia, pea ‘oku ‘ikai foki ke lava ia.” Na‘e ako‘i ‘e he Palōfitá ‘i ‘Epeleli ‘o e 1844: “ ‘Oku ‘i ai ha tefito ‘e taha ke u fakamatala‘i, ‘a ia ‘oku fokotu‘utu‘u ke ne hakeaki‘i ‘a e tangatá. … ‘Oku fekau‘aki ia mo e kaveinga ‘o e toetu‘u ‘a e maté,—‘oku ui, ko e laumālié—ko e fakakaukau ‘a e tangatá—pe ko e laumālie ta‘e fa‘amaté. Na‘e ha‘ú mei fē? ‘Oku pehē ‘e ha taha poto mo e kau toketā ‘o e me‘a fakalotú tokua na‘e fakatupu ia ‘e he ‘Otuá ‘i he kamata‘angá; ka ‘oku ‘ikai pehē ia: ‘i he‘eku fakakaukaú, ‘oku hanga ‘e he fo‘i fakakaukaú ni ‘o tuku hifo ‘a e tangatá. ‘Oku ‘ikai ke u tui au ki he akonakí ni; ‘oku sai ange ‘eku ‘iló.
