Salt Painting

Jesus Christ said to His disciples, “Ye are the salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13). Salt is something ordinary that can be used for lots of amazing things. Make this painting and think of some of the amazing things you can do with God’s help!

You will need:

• table salt

• liquid glue

• thick paper

• watercolor paint and paintbrush

1. On a piece of paper, use the glue to draw a picture. You can draw whatever you like!

2. Pour the salt onto the paper. Try to get as much salt to stick to the glue as possible. Shake off the extra salt into a bowl.

3. Repeat step 2 until the glue is completely coated in salt.

4. Dip the paintbrush into the watercolor paints and gently touch the paintbrush to your salt design. The color should spread along the salt. (The more watery your paint is, the better the color will spread.)

5. Let your painting dry overnight.
