Service Challenge Origami

When we serve others, we serve Jesus too. First follow the origami steps. Then use your folded craft to do the activity below with a friend or on your own.

How to Make It

1. Fold a square piece of paper in half both ways, then unfold.

2. Fold in half diagonally both ways, then unfold.

3. Fold each corner to the point in the middle to make a square.

4. Flip the square over and fold corners to the middle again.

5. Write the numbers 1–8 on each triangle.

6. Under each number flap, write something kind you can do for someone else.

7. Flip the square over. On each flap, write a word that reminds you of Jesus.

8. Slide your fingers under the four flaps so the origami pops up.

How to Play!

1. Pick one of the words and spell it out loud. With each letter, move your fingers to open the origami back and forth.

2. Pick a number. Count to it, moving your fingers again with each number.

3. Pick another number. Lift up the flap to read what’s underneath. Then do that kind act for someone!
