“Family Fun Time: Sunday Activities,” Friend, Jul. 2015, 6
Read “Rowdy to Reverent” (page 4). Being reverent means being respectful of sacred things. We should make Sunday a special day when we reverently focus on Jesus and Heavenly Father. What are things your family can do to focus on Jesus and Heavenly Father on Sunday?
Be sure to get an adult’s help with this activity and recipe.
Make an activity box full of good things to do on Sunday! Decorate a box or bag and fill it with good activities and projects. What can you put in your box? Here are some ideas:
copies of the Friend
pictures from the gospel art collection
scripture figures (see the inside back cover of this issue)
journals to write in
CDs of Primary songs
cards and pens to write letters
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 3.4-oz (96-g) package instant chocolate pudding
chopped peanuts or mini chocolate chips (optional)
Beat the whipping cream and sugar with a hand mixer until it forms stiff peaks.
In a separate bowl, mix the peanut butter until it’s smooth. Mix in the whipped topping.
Make the chocolate pudding according to the package instructions.
Scoop the pudding into bowls and top with the peanut-butter mix. Sprinkle with nuts or chocolate chips.
