“Esther,” Friend, July 2011, 49

A wicked man convinced the king to kill all the Jews. Even though she could have been killed, Queen Esther went to the king and told him she was a Jew. She asked him not to kill her people. Because the king loved Esther, he ordered that no Jews should be killed. You can be like Esther by standing up for others who may be bullied or teased because they act or look differently. Pray about how you can help.
