On May 8, 2018, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced a worldwide initiative called Children and Youth to begin on January 1, 2020. This new personal development initiative focuses on helping young people follow the Savior as they grow spiritually, socially, physically, and intellectually.

To help prepare children, youth, parents, and leaders to implement this initiative, children and youth who are turning ages 8 to 18 during 2020 and their parents and Young Women, Young Men, and Primary leaders are invited to a broadcast event on Sunday, November 17, at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, with Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and the Primary, Young Women, and Young Men General Presidents.

Members are encouraged to gather as families and friends in meetinghouses, homes, or other locations to view the broadcast that will be transmitted live on the Church satellite system, ChurchofJesusChrist.org, the Face to Face event page, YouTubeFacebook, Latter-day Saint Channel, and other media.

Shortly after the live event, a recording of the broadcast will be archived on Face2Face.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, the Latter-day Saint ChannelGospel Media, and the Gospel Library app under Youth, which may be streamed or downloaded at any time.
