The Book of Habakkuk

A Prophet’s Questions and God’s Answers

Habakkuk apparently lived at a time when Judah grew increasingly wicked, in spite of prophets’ efforts to change the spiritual state of the nation. Habakkuk’s short book contains two questions he asked the Lord, the Lord’s answers, and a prayer he offered to acknowledge the Lord’s perfect wisdom in the way He deals with His children. For more information about the prophet Habakkuk and his writings in the Old Testament, see the Bible Dictionary, “Habakkuk” (p. 697).
