Ezekiel 40–42

Ezekiel’s Vision of a Temple

Ezekiel 40–42 contains Ezekiel’s detailed description of a tour he took through a temple in “the land of Israel” (Ezekiel 40:2). His guide, a heavenly messenger, measured every part of the temple, so Ezekiel’s description includes the size of the rooms, the walls, the doors, and so on. The temple he described was much like the temple of Solomon. We do not know when or if the temple he saw will be built.
