Salt Lake Temple

Pioneers built this temple with granite from a nearby canyon. Some stones weighed 5,600 pounds (2,540 kg)!

It took 40 years to complete.

Five artists were called on missions to study art in France. Later, they painted murals inside the temple.
Cape Town South Africa Temple

This will be the third temple in South Africa.

Missionaries came to the area in 1852. Now South Africa has nearly 70,000 Church members.

The nearest temple is about 795 miles (1,280 km) away, in Durban.
Lima Peru Temple

This temple has six spires. The tallest is 112 feet (34 m).

Some Saints rode on a bus for 26 hours to the dedication.

When the Lima Peru Los Olivos Temple was dedicated, Lima became the first city outside of the USA to have two temples.
