The 190th Annual General Conference of the Church will convene in the Conference Center auditorium in Salt Lake City on Saturday and Sunday, April 4 and April 5, 2020, and will be broadcast to many areas of the world. Saturday general sessions will be held at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. mountain daylight time; Sunday general sessions will be held at 9:30 a.m. mountain daylight time, which includes Music & the Spoken Word, and 2:00 p.m. mountain daylight time.
Church leaders are deeply concerned about the global spreading of illness caused by COVID-19. They have counseled with worldwide governmental, ecclesiastical, and medical leaders and have prayerfully considered the current circumstances. To help control this contagious illness, the public will not be admitted in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, or in stake centers or meetinghouses in areas where COVID-19 contagion is a concern.
The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sent a letter Wednesday March 11, 2020, to members of the Church worldwide, announcing this significant change to the format of the April 2020 general conference.
