Stake FSY Activity - Purpose

Objective

A stake FSY activity should extend the FSY experience beyond the five-day FSY conference by helping youth to prepare and grow spiritually, create greater unity within their ward and stake, and find joy in living the gospel as they strengthen their testimony of Christ.

Pre-FSY Stake Activity:

Stake FSY activities held before the FSY session should help youth to know what to expect when they attend an FSY conference; get excited for their FSY experience; set spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual goals; and gain a better understanding of the standards in For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices and standards they are expected to follow in order to attend an FSY conference.

Post-FSY Stake Activity:

Stake FSY activities held after the FSY session will give youth the opportunity to reflect on their individual FSY experiences, strengthen bonds with others who shared the experience, recommit to goals they set during FSY, and create new goals.

The Planning Guide includes lists of suggested schedules and activities. Please note that these are just suggestions. If you would like to deviate from the schedules, activities, and topics, in the guide, feel free to do so, but keep the overall objective of the activity in mind.
