Puddles

By Donna Lugg Pape

It’s rain that makes the puddles,

And God who makes the rain.

Oh, I love puddles anywhere.

I love a puddly lane.

Puddles are a lot of fun.

And on a sunny day,

It’s fun to look and see myself

In happy, puddly play.

I’m glad God helps make puddles.

And most of all, I think

A puddle is especially nice

So birds can take a drink.
