1 pound (.5 kg) ground beef
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 cans (15 1/2 ounces/440 g each) kidney beans
2 cups whole tomatoes
1 cup tomato sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
Cook and stir ground beef, green pepper, and onion in large saucepan. Drain off grease.
Stir in remaining ingredients, heat to boiling, then simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
2 cups fresh strawberries
1 small carton sour cream
1/3 cup brown sugar
Wash strawberries, but do not hull.
To serve, put strawberries in individual dessert bowls. Spoon sour cream into one bowl and brown sugar into another and place in middle of table. Dip each strawberry into sour cream, then brown sugar. Eat!
Tear lettuce into bite-size pieces, then toss with other vegetables. Serve with favorite salad dressing.
