Dollhouse Miniatures

To make a pot holder, napkin rings, and place mats for your dolls or dollhouse, use medium weight crochet thread and a #5 crochet hook.

Pot Holder

Row 1. Ch 4 and join to form loop.

Row 2. *3 dc in loop, ch 2*. Repeat from * to * three more times. Join ends to complete round.

Row 3. Turn pot holder over. In ch 2 space of row two make *3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc, 1 ch.* In next ch 2 space make 3 dc, ch 9, sl st to eighth ch from hook to form hanging loop, 3 dc, ch 1. Repeat from * to * in the remaining two ch 2 spaces. Join ends to complete round and fasten off.

Placemats

Row 1. Ch 24

Row 2. 2 dc in the 4th ch from hook, *sk 1 ch st, then 2 dc in the next ch st*. Repeat from * to * across row to last st, then 1 dc, ch 2 and turn.

Repeat row 2 six times for a total of seven dc rows. At the end of the last row fasten off instead of the ch 2.

Napkin Rings

Ch 10, then join to form ring. Ch 2 then work 20 sc around ring. Join ends together and fasten off.

To finish each piece, trim the ends and then press them against the wrong side of the item. If necessary, lightly glue the ends in place to keep them from coming undone.

dc—double crochet, sc—single crochet, st—stitch, sl st—slip stitch, ch—chain, sk—skip.
