Where do you go to appreciate God’s creations?

Rolando’s answer might surprise you.

Sometimes life gets crazy. We get moving so fast that we forget to stop and appreciate the wonderful things around us. Rolando, a young man living in the Navajo Deinihootso area in Apache County, Arizona, told us about a place that helps him “be still” and know that God exists (see Psalm 46:10).

“For me, there is no greater place to be still than in the desert,” he says. “I feel that everything here speaks of Him. God told Adam, ‘All things are created and made to bear record of me’ (Moses 6:63). The desert is a place where you can see the sky, and feel the earth, and know that God is God.”

Noticing the difference between the busy city and the privacy of nature has helped Rolando appreciate God’s creations.

“All our resources are available,” he says. “Trees, plants, even fresh water. You just have to know where to find them.”

“A lot of people don’t think about it much,” he continues, “but those things are an important part of life. We should respect creation, and we should respect the Creator. God created all of this. And we serve a purpose in His creation.”

Thanks for sharing, Rolando!
