In some countries, Mother’s Day is the second Sunday in May—which is right around the corner!
If you’ve got plenty of love but not much money, here are some inexpensive ways to show Mom you care.*
1. Create artwork just for her.
Draw, paint, make a collage... the possibilities are endless!
2. Give her a rocky family portrait.
Glue small rocks on a piece of cardboard to represent your family.
3. Do her least favorite chore.
Find out what household task she enjoys the least and give her a week’s worth of free time.
4. Plan a special dinner.
Cook Mom’s favorite food. Maybe you could follow it up with watching her favorite movie together!
5. Record a meaningful message.
Write about why you love her or record yourself saying it. It’ll be a treasure!
What other ideas can you come up with? Let your imagination soar. Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect to say, “I love you.”
Create Your Plan
* If your mother isn’t part of your life, you can still use this holiday to show gratitude to the other loving women in your life. And it’s OK to feel sad. Our heart aches with you!
