Of All Things

“No recreational pleasure can equal the cleansing renewal and the spiritual guidance and growth God has promised those who faithfully partake of the sacrament and honor Him each Sabbath day.”
—Elder Dallin H. Oaks, of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Ensign, May 2002, 33.

Leadership Tip

As you plan your Mutual activities, remember to delegate. As you make assignments, be sure to follow a few simple steps to help things flow more smoothly:

  1. Identify the tasks that need to be accomplished.

  2. Assign those tasks, write down the names of the people you assigned them to, and be sure they also write a note to remind themselves what they need to do.

  3. Follow up on the assignments you made. You might just make a quick phone call or ask people to report to you by a certain day.

  4. Always remember to thank those who have helped you and to recognize their efforts.

Write Away!

This “Write Away!” is for all you missionaries. We want to hear what your Christmas was like. Where did you serve? How did you decorate? What experiences did you have? Send your story and related photos to:

Scripture Power

A new year means a new opportunity to commit to reading the scriptures daily. Each day as you read, you can pray for guidance, study the Book of Mormon for at least 10 minutes, and then color in the box on the opposite page that corresponds to the day on which you read. At the end of the year, you will have more than a colorful reminder of what you have done. You will have a strengthened testimony of the Book of Mormon and the Savior.
