Naʻe fakahā ʻe Palesiteni Siosefa Filitingi Sāmita, “ʻOku ou feinga ki hoku fakamoʻuí, pea ʻoku ou ʻilo te u toki maʻu pē ia ʻi he talangofua ki he ngaahi fono ʻa e ʻEikí ʻi he tauhi ʻo e ngaahi fekaú, ʻi hono fakahoko e ngaahi ngāue ʻo e māʻoniʻoní, ʻo molomolo-muivaʻe ʻi hotau takí, ʻa Sīsū, ko e faʻifaʻitakiʻanga pea mo e ʻulu ki he taha kotoa pē” 1

Naʻe ʻai ia ʻe heʻene leá ke taʻe-manakoa ʻi ha ngaahi haʻofanga ʻe niʻihi ka naʻe hangē naʻe ʻikai ke ne uesia iá; naʻe ʻikai ko ʻene taumuʻá ke manakoa pe ʻiloa ʻi he mata ʻo e kakaí. Ka, naʻá ne lau hono fatongiá ʻoku tatau mo ha tangata leʻo ʻi he funga tauá ʻa ia ko hono fatongiá ke fakaongo atu ʻa e fakatokangá kiate kinautolu ʻi lalo ʻoku ʻikai ke nau lava ʻo mamata ki he fākaofi mai ʻa e fakatuʻutāmakí.”2

Naʻe vahevahe ʻe Palesiteni Sāmita ʻi ha meʻa ʻe taha ha aʻusia naʻá ne fakafōtungaʻi ʻa e liliu ʻo e lotó, ʻe lava ke hoko ki ha taha ʻoku talangofua ki he leʻo ʻo e fakatokangá:

“Naʻá ku ʻalu ki ha konifelenisi fakasiteiki ʻi he ngaahi taʻu lahi kuo hilí ʻo lea ʻi he Lea ʻo e Potó. … Ko e taimi naʻá ku ʻalu ai ki he konga ki mui ʻo e falé [ʻi he ʻosi ʻa e konifelenisí,] kuo mei ʻosi kotoa he mātuku, ka naʻe mono mai ʻe ha tangata hono nimá mo pehē mai:

“‘Misa Sāmita, ko e fuofua malanga ʻeni ʻi he Lea ʻo e Potó kuo faifaiangé peá u saiʻia ai.’

“Naʻá ku pehē ange leva: ‘Kuo teʻeki ke ke fanongo koe ʻi he ngaahi malanga kehe ʻi he Lea ʻo e Potó?’

“Talamai ʻe ia: ‘ʻIo, ka ko e fuofua malanga ʻeni kuo faifaiangé peá u saiʻia ai.’

“Ne u pehē ange leva: ‘ʻO anga fēfē?’

“Talamai ʻe ia: ‘ʻOkú ke ʻilo, ʻoku ou tauhi ʻa e Lea ʻo e Potó he taimí ni.’”3

ʻOku puleʻi ʻe he ʻOtuá e ʻunivēsí ʻaki e fonó, pea ʻoku tau moʻulaloa ki he fono ko iá.

ʻOku totonu ke tali ʻe he kakai kotoa pē, koeʻuhí ʻoku puleʻi ʻe he Fungani Māfimafí ʻa e ʻunivēsí fakakātoa ʻaki ha fono taʻe-faʻaliliua, kuo pau leva ke fakamoʻulaloaʻi ʻe he tangatá ia, ʻa ia ko e lelei taha ʻi heʻene ngaahi fakatupú kotoa, ki he faʻahinga fono ko iá. Kuo ʻosi fakahā fakapatonu mo mahino ʻe he ʻEikí ʻa e foʻi moʻoni ko ʻení ʻi ha fakahā ki he Siasí:

“ʻOku tuku ha fono ki he ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē;

“Pea ʻoku lahi ʻa e ngaahi puleʻangá; he ʻoku ʻikai ke ʻi ai ha ʻataʻatā ʻa ia ʻoku ʻikai ke taʻe-ʻi ai ha puleʻanga; pea ʻoku ʻikai ke ʻi ai ha puleʻanga ʻa ia ʻoku ʻikai ke ʻi ai ha ʻataʻatā, pe ko ha puleʻanga lahi ange pe siʻi ange.

“Pea ʻoku tuku ki he puleʻanga kotoa pē ha fono; pea ʻoku ʻi he fono kotoa pē ha ngaahi ngataʻanga mo ha ngaahi tuʻunga foki.

“Ko e kakai kotoa pē ʻoku ʻikai nofo maʻu ʻi he ngaahi tuʻunga ko iá, ʻoku ʻikai fakatonuhiaʻi ʻa kinautolu.” (T&F 88:36–39.)

ʻOku mahino ʻa e foʻi moʻoni ko ʻení ʻiate ia pē. Ko hono tauhi ʻo e ngaahi fekaú ko hano fakahaaʻi ia ʻo ʻetau ʻofa ki he ʻEikí.

Ko hotau fatongia ʻi he Siasí ke hū ki he ʻEikí ʻi he laumālie pea ʻi he moʻoni, pea ʻoku tau feinga ʻi he meʻá ni ke fakahoko ʻaki hotau lotó, iví, mo e mālohi kotoa. Naʻe pehē ʻe Sīsū: “Ke ke hū ki he ʻEiki ko ho ʻOtuá, pea ko ia pē te ke tauhí.” (Mātiu 4:10.)

ʻOku tau tui ʻoku mahulu hake ʻa e huú ʻi he lotú mo hono malangaʻí pea mo e muimui ki he ongoongoleleí. He ʻikai ke tau lava ʻo lotu ki he ʻEikí ʻo pehē: “ʻAfio mai ki heʻemau fiemaʻú, ʻomi ke mau ikuna, fai e meʻa ʻoku mau loto ke faí, kae ʻoua te ke kole mai ke mau fai e meʻa ʻokú ke finangalo ke mau faí.”10

ʻOku fie maʻu ke tau ʻaʻeva ʻi he maama kakato ʻo e moʻoní, ʻo ʻikai fakakonga pē ʻi he moʻoní. ʻOku ʻikai ʻaʻaku ha totonu ke siʻaki ha niʻihi ʻo e ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni ʻo e ongoongoleleí kae tui ki ha ngaahi meʻa kehe, pea ongoʻi ʻoku ʻi ai haʻaku totonu ki he ngaahi tāpuaki ʻo e fakamoʻuí mo e hākeakiʻi ʻi he puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá. Tau fanongo muʻa ki he fakalea ʻa e folofolá, ki hono fakaʻosinga ʻo e meʻa kotoa pē ko ʻení: “Ke ke manavahē ki he ʻOtuá, peá ke fai ki heʻene ngaahi fekaú: he ʻoku kātoa ʻi he ngaahi meʻá ni ʻa e ngāue totonu ʻa e tangatá.” (Tangata Malanga 12:13.)12

ʻOku ou faʻa fakakaukau, pea ʻoku ou tui ʻoku pehē mo kimoutolu foki, ki he malanga maʻongoʻonga mo fakaofo ko iá—ʻa e maʻongoʻonga taha kuo faifaiangé pea malangaʻi, ʻo fakatatau mo ʻetau ʻiló—ʻa ia ʻoku tau ui ko e Malanga ʻi he Moʻungá. … Kapau te tau tokanga ki he ngaahi akonaki ko iá, te tau lava ʻo toe foki ki he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtua ko e Tamaí, mo Hono ʻAlo ko Sīsū Kalaisí.

ʻOku ou faʻa fakakaukau ki ai he ko hono moʻoní ko e aofangatuku:

“Ko ia ke haohaoa ʻa kimoutolu he ʻoku haohaoa ʻa hoʻomou Tamai ʻoku [ʻi] he langí.” Mātiu 5:48

… ʻOku ou tui ko e fakamātoato ʻa e ʻEikí ʻi he meʻa kuó Ne folofolaʻakí, ʻoku totonu ke tau haohaoa, he ʻoku haohaoa ʻa ʻetau Tamai ʻi he langí. Koeʻuhí ke hōifua [ʻa e ʻEikí], kuo pau ke ʻoua naʻa tau hū ʻataʻatā pē kiate ia ʻi he fakafetaʻi mo e fakalāngilangi, ka ke tau talangofua ʻi he loto moʻoni ki heʻene ngaahi fekaú. ʻI heʻetau fai iá, ʻoku haʻisia leva ke foaki ʻene ngaahi tāpuakí; he ʻoku ʻi he tefitoʻi moʻoni ko ʻení (ʻo e talangofua ki he fonó) ʻoku makatuʻunga ai ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē [vakai, T&F 130:20–21].14
