Jesus invites us to “forgive, if ye have ought against any” (Mark 11:25). When Peter asked Jesus whether he should forgive his brother seven times, the Lord told him to forgive “seventy times seven” (Matthew 18:22).

As Jesus Christ teaches His followers during the last week of His life, He stresses the principle of forgiveness. His words have special significance since it is His sacrifice that makes forgiveness possible.

Through the healing power of Jesus Christ’s Atonement, we can repent and have the burdens of sin and sorrow removed from our hearts. But to fully experience this blessing, we must follow His example and work to forgive those who have wronged us.
