What Makes the Scriptures “of Great Worth”?
The scriptures were “of great worth” (1 Nephi 5:21) to Lehi’s family. They were so important that the Lord commanded Lehi’s sons to travel back to Jerusalem to get the brass plates (see 1 Nephi 3:2–5), a task for which they risked their lives. The scriptures (especially the Book of Mormon) are just as important for us today. Have you recently thought about why?
