How Do You Live by the Doctrine of Christ?

After the outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost, Peter and the other Apostles testified of Christ and taught His doctrine. The people were “pricked in their heart” and asked, “What shall we do?” (Acts 2:37). Peter invited them to repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (see Acts 2:38). About 3,000 people “gladly received his word [and] were baptized” (Acts 2:41).

Applying the doctrine of Christ brings us closer to Him. Consider reflecting on how you apply these five doctrinal areas:

1. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ: What habits and activities help fuel your faith in Jesus Christ?

2. Repentance: How do you make repentance a joyful process?

3. Baptism: What are you doing to live your baptismal covenant?

4. Gift of the Holy Ghost: What environments and activities give you the best access to the promptings of the Spirit?

5. Enduring to the end: How has keeping your covenants, having hope in Christ, and holding fast to the iron rod helped you endure hard trials? See Jeremiah 17:7; 2 Nephi 31:20; Ether 12:4.
