4. Becoming a covenant daughter of God
Study together
I am a beloved daughter of heavenly parents, with a divine nature and eternal destiny. I rejoice in God’s divine design of family. I desire to become a loving wife and mother and a woman of righteous influence.
“Verily I say unto you, all those who receive my gospel are sons and daughters in my kingdom.”
What do you think it means to “receive” the gospel? How is it different from just hearing it or reading about it?
In Guide to the Scriptures, “Sons and Daughters of God,” look for the two ways we are children of God. Choose one of the scriptures listed, and share with each other what it teaches you about our relationship with Heavenly Father.
Learn about Eve,
“glorious mother” | Doctrine and Covenants 138:38–39; Moses 5:1–12
Moses 5:1–12 describes Adam and Eve’s life after they had to leave the Garden of Eden. Search these verses, looking for (1) things Eve did and (2) what she said. What do you find in her actions and words that shows that she trusted her Heavenly Father, His plan, and the importance of family relationships in that plan? What do you feel inspired to do to show that you trust Heavenly Father and His plan as His covenant daughter?
