Weather Vane
Like a stallion
Thundering
Down a windy plain,
He flares his nostrils,
Strikes his hoofs,
And soars
His flying mane.
Like a tired stallion
Sheltered from a storm,
He stands as still
As sunlight—
Quiet, safe, and warm.
