Seeking to Do God’s Will

Like Alma, who turned to the Lord for answers in a difficult situation, we need to seek the Lord’s will and trust that He will guide us.

Articles

  • Accepting the Lord’s Will and Timing.” In this Ensign article, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles shows us how we can have faith in the Lord’s will for our lives, even when that means facing an outcome we may not desire.

  • What God Wanted for Me.” In this New Era article, six youth share their experiences about how God blessed them when they did His will.

  • Alia’s New Ring.” In this Friend story, Alia learns to follow a prompting from the Holy Ghost, even though she isn’t sure she wants to at first.

  • Courage to Be Kind.” In this article from the Friend, Rachael shares how praying helped her know what to do to help a friend who was being bullied.

Activities

  • Don’t Stop Seeking.” In this short article from the Friend, Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, then Second Counselor in the First Presidency, teaches us to always keep seeking the good. Fill out the puzzle to discover how to find answers to questions about life and the gospel.

  • The Will of God.” This video shows how God guides us to a future we may not have envisioned but which He knows is best for us.

Repentance

The Lord told Alma that “as often as my people repent will I forgive them their trespasses against me” (Mosiah 26:30). The gift of repentance is a blessing that should inspire our gratitude.
