Revelation 12:7–17

The War Continues

In the War in Heaven, we overcame Satan by the power of Jesus Christ and our testimonies of Him (see Revelation 12:10–11). That war continues while we are on earth. Here, too, we can overcome through our faith in and commitment to Christ.

Articles

  • An Unending Conflict, a Victory Assured.” In this First Presidency Message, President Gordon B. Hinkley (1910–2008) tells us how the War in Heaven is continued on earth and the part we can play in fighting the adversary.

  • The War Goes On.” In this Ensign article, Elder Larry R. Lawrence, now an emeritus member of the Seventy, discusses the strategies of Satan and how to combat them.

  • What We Know about Premortal Life.” This New Era article shares basic truths about the premortal life and what we can learn from them.

  • “War in Heaven.” Watch this short video clip of President Gordon B. Hinkley (1910–2008) teaching about the War in Heaven and the important decision we made back then.

The Promise of Celestial Glory

Sometimes the prospect of reaching celestial glory seems beyond our grasp, but the Lord has promised that if we are faithful, through His power this blessing can be ours.

  • Am I Good Enough? Will I Make It?” In this general conference address, Elder J. Devn Cornish of the Seventy teaches that if we rely on the Lord and really try, we are “good enough” to inherit eternal life.

Activities

  • I Am a Child of God.” Watch this video with your family, and perhaps sing along. Afterward, discuss some of the “rich blessings” God has in store for the faithful and what you can do to better “do His will.”
