After you’ve studied the scripture passages for this week (Matthew 21–28; Luke 24:13–35; John 20:19–29; 1 Corinthians 15:1–8, 55; 1 Peter 1:3–11) and reviewed the questions and activities in the manual, consider sharing any of the following articles and activities with your family. These additional resources selected by the Ensign staff can assist you as you strive to teach the gospel in your home.

Holy Week

Throughout the week, follow the events that led up to the sacrifice and Resurrection of the Savior Jesus Christ, beginning with Christ triumphantly entering Jerusalem.

Article

  • Review the pivotal events of each day of Holy Week in the Ensign article “The Greatest Week in History” by Daniel H. Ludlow, former professor of religion at Brigham Young University.

Activities

  • The Miracle of Easter.” Do you have little ones? Each night this week, share with your child one scripture, one song, and one truth about the Savior from this helpful, super-simple study plan in this month’s Friend.

  • God’s Great Gift.” This Easter message from President Russell M. Nelson in the Friend is accompanied by a coloring page, “Jesus Is My Savior.”

  • Easter Is about Jesus.” Children will love this coloring page of the Savior.

  • The Story of Easter.” These illustrations from the Friend show what Jesus did on Holy Week. A great bedtime read.

  • Explore Jerusalem and see the places where Christ visited in this illustrated map of the city from this month’s New Era.

  • Try Some New Easter Traditions.” Make Easter more meaningful for everyone in the family with these ideas from the New Era.
