“We Owe It to Sister Brown”

It had been a glorious day for a family who had just been sealed in the temple. Later, as family and friends gathered to rejoice with them, the young mother expressed her gratitude to a sister in her ward.

“We owe it all to Sister Brown,” she said through happy tears. “When she became my visiting teacher almost two years ago, we weren’t active in the Church. Although we gave her very little encouragement, she never gave up in helping us come back to church and prepare for this beautiful experience. We will be eternally grateful for her gift of love and friendship.”

Jean Brown’s quiet response describes what reactivation is all about. “Oh, I didn’t do it,” she said modestly. “The Lord did. He just permitted me to help him and then blessed me for it.”—Lettice O. Rich, Ogden, Utah
