“I have never felt the Spirit so strong in my life!”
That’s what Landon had to say about his FSY experience earlier this summer. But it wasn’t all fun and games.
Sometime during the week, a girl at the conference passed away from a health emergency. It was very sad for everyone. The next day, two special speakers came to visit—Elder Steven Lund and Sister Bonnie Cordon, the Young Men and Young Women General Presidents.
“Sister Cordon had us sing ‘Peace in Christ.’ The feeling was immense,” Landon said. A sweet, peaceful feeling filled the room, easing the grief that they were feeling.
“My testimony has been strengthened,” Landon said.
The death of a friend or family member can be really hard, especially when it’s unexpected. But Jesus Christ offers us peace during every hard time. Because of His Atonement and Resurrection, we will see our loved ones again. And He understands our every sorrow, so we are never alone!
