Sunlight

By Audrey K. Carlson

Basking in the sun

I am not wet

But I am soaked to the bone

With happiness

As the colors of serenity

Weave through my skin.

Loftily I sing a song of praise

As the contentment that was once mine

Is spread to those around me.
