Learn about the Relief Society

The Relief Society is a lifelong sisterhood for all women 18 and older. The Relief Society has the purpose of preparing God’s children to return to His presence and serving those in need. Women of this sisterhood follow the motto “Charity never faileth” (1 Corinthians 13:8).

  • Learn about the importance of the Relief Society. Consider using:

    • “Relief Society: Purpose and Organization,” General Handbook: Serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9.1.1–9.1.3.

  • Meet with a member of the Relief Society presidency to discuss how you can get involved in providing service.
