My Calling as a Young Women Adviser or Specialist

Who Do I Work With?

Young Women

  • Build sincere relationships with the young women in your ward or branch to help them feel loved and help them come unto Christ.

  • Encourage them to seek the guidance of the Spirit in fulfilling their sacred roles as young women.

Young Women Class Presidency

Advisers

  • Guide and mentor young women as they lead in their class presidencies.

  • Help instruct on the five lessons in Leadership Lessons (ChurchofJesusChrist.org) in class presidency meetings.

  • Help young women who have been invited to teach a lesson to effectively prepare and teach.

Parents

  • Parents are responsible to teach their children the gospel.

  • Learn how leaders can help parents (see General Handbook, 11.2.1.1).

Young Women Presidency

  • Help the Young Women presidency with their responsibilities. Each adviser works with a specific class of young women (see General Handbook, 11.3.5).

  • Advisers or specialists attend ward Young Women presidency meetings when invited.

  • All specialists and advisers serve under the direction of the ward or branch Young Women presidency.
