“Update the Master Plan,” Meetinghouse Master Planning Guidelines
The DTA and his staff work with the Area Presidency to maintain a minimum five-year plan. The Area Seventy may need to reengage stake presidents to update the plan if priesthood leaders or information suggests a significant change to projections, unit changes, or meetinghouse projects.
As time passes, it will be necessary to renew the master plan. Every three to four years (or more frequently if needed), the Area Seventy, acting under the direction of the Area Presidency, should work with the stake presidents and the DTA and his staff to update the plan. This is a good opportunity to evaluate implementation efforts and the effects of these efforts on attendance and then to update projections.
