Identify Needed Boundary Changes

In alignment with the Area Presidency’s direction, many stakes have identified and implemented efforts to strengthen leaders, members, and units. When master planning, stake presidents may also consider recommending boundary changes to strengthen Church members. Master planning is a good opportunity to discuss and consider changes that could benefit multiple stakes in ways that would not be possible if a stake was working by itself.

When leaders consider boundary changes, their primary focus should be on strengthening Church members rather than optimizing meetinghouses. Important items to review when considering boundary changes are found in section 6, Submit Unit and Boundary Changes.
