In EnglishConnect, we rely on God to learn by study and by faith.

1832年,约瑟·斯密和耶稣基督后期圣徒教会的一些早期领袖受到指示要开办一所学校。神要他们学习、成长、并做好领导他人的准备。这群成员没有大学学位,甚至没有受过很多教育。他们也没有很多的钱或资源。在经文中,神教导他们学习的模式:

神教导我们需要藉着研读来学习,也需要藉着信心来学习。我们尽最大的努力,并祈求神派遣祂的圣灵来打开我们的心思意念来学习。圣灵会给我们更多的理解力,超出单靠我们自己所能有的理解力。有出色的教师或很棒的教科书会有所帮助,但即使我们没有这些东西,神也可以教导我们。当我们藉着研读和信心来学习时,神可以帮助我们学到比我们想象的更多的东西。
