2024 Summary on Caring for Those in Need

During Jesus Christ’s mortal ministry, He gave us the first and second great commandments—to love God and our neighbor. He then “went about doing good” (Acts 10:38), showing us what it truly means to care for those in need.

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we strive to follow His example of generosity and compassion. Thanks to the donations and service of Church members and friends, and in collaboration with many other charitable organizations, the Church was able to help millions of people around the world in 2024. Highlights include:

• 6.6 million hours volunteered.

• $1.45 billion in expenditures.

• 192 countries and territories served.

• 3,836 humanitarian projects.
