2023 Summary on Caring for Those in Need

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe in following the Savior’s two great commandments: to love God and to love our neighbor. As part of this mandate, we seek to find ways to maximize our impact so that our work to care for those in need blesses not only those who receive aid, but also their families and communities. We invite all to join us in this effort to show Christlike love as we care for those in need.

In 2023, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—through member and missionary service, collaborating with other organizations, and donations—cared for many in need around the world. This includes:

• 6.2 million hours volunteered

• $1.36 billion in expenditures

• 191 countries and territories served

• 4,119 humanitarian projects
