Frederick M. Kamya

Frederick M. Kamya was called as an Area Seventy in April 2021. Elder Kamya is from Kampala, Uganda. He is the managing director of Horizon Lines Ltd, a printing firm, a position he has held since 1994, at the inception of the company. He is also the managing director of Victoria Meadows, a company that handles agriculture enterprises including poultry and timber growing. He is co-director with his wife, Stella.

He was the general secretary of the Uganda Printers Association for 14 years, until 2017. He was also the president of the Rotary Club of Kampala, the oldest club in Uganda in 2017–18 and is currently the chairman of Lubya investment club. He is a board member of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Before his call as an Area Seventy, he was serving as president of the Kampala Uganda South Stake. His previous callings include serving as branch president, bishop, district presidency counsellor and district president.

Elder Kamya holds a bachelor’s degree in education, as well as a diploma. He and his wife, Stella, are the parents of six children. They currently reside in Kampala.

Elder Kamya says he is grateful to the Lord for this calling and is looking forward to learning his duty, so that he can be the best servant of the Lord possible. He hopes and prays that in so doing he can touch lives.
