Four Ways to Get Ready for April 2020

The year 2020 will mark the 200th anniversary of the First Vision, which occurred in the spring of 1820. Accordingly, President Russell M. Nelson announced that the upcoming conference in April “will commemorate the very foundations of the restored gospel” (see page 122).

He encouraged every member and family to prepare for this “unique conference” and suggested possible ways to do so:

  1. Read again Joseph Smith’s account of the First Vision.

  2. As you study Come, Follow Me in 2020, ponder questions about knowledge gained and blessings received because of the Book of Mormon.

  3. Consider using the new Book of Mormon videos in individual and family study.

  4. Select your own questions and design your own plan to “immerse yourself in the glorious light of the Restoration.”

“As you do,” President Nelson said, “general conference next April will be not only memorable; it will be unforgettable.”
