Secret Santa Ninjas
For my family, Christmas is a holiday full of joy. For as long as I can remember, my family has done something we call Secret Santa Ninjas. It’s a simple but exciting tradition. First, we prepare a gift and a card for someone in need. Then we sneak to their doorstep, drop it off, ring the doorbell, and run away before they catch us. It’s like being part of a special Christmas mission!
It feels really good to be Secret Santa Ninjas. Every time, I get this warm, happy feeling inside that makes me smile, like a little burst of joy in my heart. This tradition has changed the way I see Christmas.
When I was younger, I thought Christmas was mostly about presents. But now, I see it as a time to serve others and share Christ’s love. We make service a part of every Christmas, trying to help as many people as possible. It’s not always easy—sometimes it means waking up early to help the neighbor down the street or giving up a Saturday afternoon to clean the chapel. But it’s always worth it. The reward is seeing other people’s gratitude, receiving blessings in my own life, and experiencing the pure happiness that comes from knowing I did something good.
When I think about Jesus Christ, I think about how much He loves us and how He showed that love by serving others. His life inspires me to serve too, and I know that when I serve others, I’m also serving God. Christmas isn’t just about giving gifts; it’s about giving of yourself. That’s what Secret Santa Ninjas has taught me, and it’s what I hope to carry with me every day.
