Wise Men—and Youth—Seek Him
The scriptures recount the story of wise men who had been seeking earnestly the signs of the Messiah’s birth (see Matthew 2:1–2). When they recognized the sign, they diligently followed its light that they might “find” Him. How had they come to know this sign?
The wise men may have had to spend a great deal of time learning about the prophecies so they would recognize the signs when they came. Perhaps they had sought these signs of the Savior’s birth from their youth.
This season, as we hear the loud, enticing invitations that draw us away from the true celebration of His birth, may we each earnestly seek Him. May we study the scriptures and know His signs. May we recognize His works, His Atonement, His words, His peace, and His love. I invite you to earnestly seek Him as you read the articles in this issue and, like the wise men of old, find Him.
