Preparing for Temple Covenants
“I will … make and keep sacred covenants, and receive the ordinances and blessings of the holy temple.”

I love attending the temple! Thanks to the temple, I can have an eternal family, help gather Israel, and receive spiritual promptings and comfort.
When my family moved to our new house, I was grateful that it was so close to the temple. I have a perfect view of the temple from my bedroom window. Every day when I see the temple, I’m reminded to prepare to make eternal covenants.
It’s really important to be prepared for the covenants you make in the temple and to help people beyond the veil make those covenants too. I’ve been reading about the temple and trying to be as prepared as I can be so I can make more covenants. My brother just received his endowment, and it was a special experience for him. Seeing how happy he was made me realize I want those blessings too!
But even though I have the temple right outside my window, I don’t want to take it for granted. So I try to live in a way so I will always be worthy to attend the temple.
When the temple was closed during the pandemic, I had faith that it wouldn’t be closed for too long. Then I finally got to go back to the temple for the first time, and it was such a special experience. I was a little nervous because I hadn’t been there in a while. But once I stepped inside, I just felt like I belonged there. I could feel the Spirit.
I have a very strong testimony of holy places, and I can’t wait to make more covenants with my Heavenly Father.
