September 1–7: Doctrine and Covenants 94–97

Build a Temple

The temple is a place where God can bless us (see Doctrine and Covenants 95:8). Build your own temple using sugar cubes, blocks, or items from nature! Then send us a picture of your creation. Flip to the back cover to see how.

For younger children: Help your little ones color the temple on page 48. Share how going to the temple blesses you.

September 8–14: Doctrine and Covenants 98–101

Be Still

The scriptures teach, “Be still and know that I am God” (Doctrine and Covenants 101:16). That means that when we take time to be reverent, we can feel close to Heavenly Father. Play this game about being still. One person runs and tries to tag everyone else. When someone is tagged, they stand very, very still. Before they can run again, they say one thing they know about Heavenly Father.

For younger children: Sit in a comfortable position with your little ones and sing a favorite song about God or share a scripture.

September 15–21: Doctrine and Covenants 102–105

Candle Craft

We can be a light for others by following Jesus Christ’s example and serving others (see Doctrine and Covenants 103:9). Turn to page 13 to make your own candle craft!

For younger children: With your little one, find different lights around your home. Talk about how your child can share Jesus Christ’s light with others by sharing their toys or saying kind things.

September 22–28: Doctrine and Covenants 106–108

Conference Activities

It’s important to listen to God’s prophet and apostles (see Doctrine and Covenants 107:22–23). Read a story on page 4 about getting answers from general conference. Write some questions of your own on page 6. You’ll also find activities you can do while you listen to conference.

For younger children: Look at a photo of the prophet. Practice saying his name together with your little ones.
