“And He Opened His Mouth and Taught Them” by Michael Malm

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are to be examples of how to interact with others. One of the easiest ways to identify a true follower of Jesus Christ is how compassionately that person treats other people.

The Savior made this clear. “Blessed are the peacemakers,” He said (Matthew 5:9; see also 3 Nephi 12:9). His true disciples build, lift, encourage, and inspire—no matter how difficult the situation. True disciples of Jesus Christ are peacemakers.

How we treat each other really matters! How we speak to and about others at home, at church, and online really matters. We can change the world—one person and one interaction at a time.

Differences are part of life. Let us show that there is a respectful way to work out disagreements. Pray to have the courage and wisdom to say and do what the Savior would.

I urge you to choose to be a peacemaker, today and always.

We Can Change the World

President Nelson said that what we do and say really matters! In the spaces below, write what you could say to help bring peace.

What can you say to someone who is sad?

What can you say when someone takes your things?

What can you say when someone is mean to you?
