About Raissa

Goals and dreams: To get married in the temple and have her own family

How Raissa Follows Jesus
When she was five, Raissa and her family were looking for a church to go to. The first time they went to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they felt like they belonged there. Raissa liked Primary. Her family was baptized. And Raissa liked having home evening each week.
When Raissa was six, she and her family were sealed in the Recife Brazil Temple.
Recently Raissa went to the open house for the Praia Cape Verde Temple. “I did important things to get ready to go to the temple, like praying, going to church, studying scriptures, and learning the gospel,” she says.
After the temple was dedicated, she was able to do baptisms for her ancestors who died without knowing the gospel. “The temple is beautiful,” she says.
