After He was resurrected, Jesus went to visit some of the people in the Americas. Dressed in a white robe, He came down from heaven. He held out His hand and said, “Behold, I am Jesus Christ. … I am the light and the life of the world” (3 Nephi 11:10–11).

Jesus is the Light of the World because His teachings and example light our way back to Heavenly Father.
