God’s Gift

By Mary Winklebleck

Some days come wrapped in brilliant sun,

Some in fog and rain.

Some come wrapped in snow and ice

Like frozen cellophane.

No matter how a day comes wrapped—

In wind-swept clouds or sun—

Accept it as a gift from God,

And thank Him when it’s done.
