Brown Bears

To make each bear, you will need: scissors, a brown paper sack, a pencil, tracing paper, a black pen, and crayons or colored markers.

  1. Cut down the back of the sack along the seam. Then cut around the bottom so that you have one big, flat piece of sack (see illustrations below).

  2. Trace the pattern on this page and use it to cut out as many bears as you’d like.

  3. Decide what kind of bears you want: karate, sailor, baby, cheerleader, doctor or nurse, ballerina, baseball player, grandma, clown, etc. The possibilities are endless. Draw the faces and clothes on the bears, then color them.

  4. Use the bears to tell stories to your family, friends, or yourself. The bears could also be used as greeting cards, package decorations, or place cards. You will have “beary” much fun!
