Tiger and Happy
Now Tiger and Happy are very good friends,
But when they were pups, ’twas not so.
Can you see why they disagreed on some things
As you read the verses below?
“It’s great to be busy,” said Tiger one day.
“Just see this big pit that I’ve dug!”
“That’s just a small hole,” Happy said with a yawn.
“I’d much rather nap on my rug.”
“I saw the new dog on our block yesterday.
He’s white, and he’s huge,” Tiger said.
“Nah—I saw him, too, and he’s black and quite small,”
Said Happy while shaking his head.
The new dog came over to chat and to play,
And Tiger and Happy could see
That each had been right from his own point of view.
Ever after they played happily.
