Gospel Living

There’s so much vying for our attention these days!

Luckily, we know what matters most.

School, work, sports, music, video games, friends, the latest digital gizmo...

There’s plenty to explore every single day—more than we have time for. If you’re feeling frazzled or torn in lots of different directions, remember that the most important thing to focus on is Jesus Christ and His gospel. If we make an effort each day to draw closer to Him, we will feel the peace that only He can bring.

Have you ever seen the object lesson of the rocks and the sand in the jar? The rocks represent important habits of personal worship, like prayer and scripture study, that really matter each day. The sand represents other activities that we could use to fill our time. If you put the sand in a jar first, you might not have enough room for the rocks! But if you put the rocks in first, the sand can fill in all around them, and you end up having room for both.

Just something to think about today. We hope you are feeling peace AND having fun!

Check My Focus

What am I currently focused on in my life? What changes can I make to more fully focus on the Savior?
